David Baenziger has 20-plus years of small business ownership experience primarily in the grocery and convenience store industry that provides him with a very strong background to assist other small business owners. David has been with the UTSA Small Business Development Center (SBDC) since January 2000 and has 5 times been awarded the San Antonio SBDC Counselor of the Year Award.  In 2003 he was awarded the San Antonio SBA District Counselor of the Year award and the Association of Small Business Development Centers’ State Star Counselor Award. 

David has assisted the International Trade Center in the training of SBDC’s in Mexico as well as doing presentations to small businesses and counseling them in Mexico.  He also works with clients in the U. S. on aspects of their business that have to do with international trade. 

David delivers presentations to groups and organizations that are local, statewide, national, and international.  David continues his professional development and received the Certified Global Business Professional designation in July 2007.
